Hi, I’m Bianca Powell. I don’t believe leadership should be defined by corporate speeches or carefully polished talking points. I believe in authenticity, speaking with conviction, listening to others, and standing up for what is right.

My journey began when I moved to the United States from Romania at just 20 years old, completely on my own. Starting a new life in a new country was not easy, but those experiences taught me resilience, determination, and the importance of family. I eventually navigated the immigration process to bring my parents to the United States, and in 2014, we took an important step together by purchasing our first Adult Family Home.

In 2022, I was proud to open a second location—a home that I completely remodeled and transformed into the kind of Adult Family Home I had always dreamed of creating.

With more than 15 years of hands-on caregiving experience, I understand this industry because I have lived it every day. I know the sacrifices providers and caregivers make, the challenges we face, and most importantly, the tremendous difference Adult Family Homes make in the lives of residents and their families.

One of my goals is to change the perception that Adult Family Homes are simply places where people go at the end of life. They are so much more. Adult Family Homes can be places of warmth, dignity, kindness, laughter, companionship, dedicated care, and vibrant living. They are communities where people can continue to live meaningful lives surrounded by people who genuinely care about them.

I am an outspoken advocate, and I am not afraid to raise my voice when necessary to protect our providers, caregivers, residents, and the integrity of our profession. At the same time, I believe strong leadership also requires humility. I am here to listen, learn from other providers, and continue growing as a communicator, partner, advocate, and professional.

The warmth and determination I bring to this work begin in my own home. I share a beautiful life with my husband and our two children, ages 10 and 7, who are my greatest joy and inspiration.

I have traveled the world and speak three languages—Romanian, English, and Spanish—but my favorite place remains right here: caring for my family, serving our residents, supporting fellow providers, and advocating for the future of Adult Family Homes.
