Entrepreneur | Community Leader | Caregiving Advocate

Allan Ngugi is a dedicated entrepreneur and community leader whose career spans business development, public policy, and healthcare services across Kenya and the United States.

Born and raised in Kenya, Allan built a diverse professional background early in his career, taking on roles across multiple levels of industry and community work. He founded and operated Smartcom Enterprise, through which he supported thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with business training and access to start-up capital, helping local entrepreneurs turn ideas into sustainable businesses.

Allan’s commitment to community empowerment extended into public service when he became a pioneering founder of the Youth & Women Fund, using Bungoma County as a case study for the initiative. In this role, he played a key part in shaping the policies and structures that would govern the fund, laying the groundwork for its long-term impact. His contributions were later recognized with an appointment as Fund Ambassador, a position that allowed him to champion the fund’s mission and expand its reach.

Since relocating his focus to healthcare and caregiving, Allan has channelled his entrepreneurial expertise into serving vulnerable populations. Since 2023, he has owned and operated Royal House Adult Family Home, providing quality residential care for adults in need of support. Alongside this, he also owns and runs Shalla Homecare, extending his commitment to compassionate, community-based care.

From grassroots business development in Kenya to leadership in adult family care, Allan Ngugi’s career reflects a consistent thread: building structures and organizations that uplift people.
