Nathaniel M. Ballantyne is an accomplished healthcare executive, organizational strategist, and nonprofit leader with extensive experience in healthcare administration, operational leadership, policy development, and international initiatives. His career has been defined by a commitment to strengthening organizations, improving healthcare delivery, and advancing initiatives that create lasting community impact.

His leadership journey began at Hunter College in New York City, where he served two terms as Student Government President. In that role, he developed a strong foundation in advocacy, governance, strategic planning, and collaborative leadership—principles that continue to guide his work today.

Nathaniel later worked with the World Bank, contributing to feasibility analyses for investment and infrastructure projects across Africa. He subsequently attended Florida Coastal School of Law, where he expanded his knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and the legal frameworks that support effective organizations.

Throughout his career, Nathaniel has held executive leadership positions overseeing healthcare operations, practice management, organizational development, and strategic planning. He has led the development and implementation of policies, operational protocols, compliance programs, and quality improvement initiatives for physician practices, hospitals, and healthcare organizations in both the United States and internationally.

His work has consistently focused on enhancing operational excellence, strengthening organizational performance, and improving the quality of care delivered to patients and families.

Nathaniel currently serves as the Executive Director of Project2Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable development through healthcare, education, infrastructure, workforce development, and economic opportunity in underserved communities around the world. He is also a founding member of the Haitian Diaspora Political Action Committee (HDPAC), reflecting his longstanding commitment to civic engagement, public policy, and community empowerment.

As the founding Executive Director of the Washington Association of Adult Family Home Providers (WAFHA), Nathaniel is committed to advancing the Adult Family Home profession through education, advocacy, collaboration, and leadership.

His vision is to build a strong statewide association that empowers providers, promotes excellence in resident care, advocates for sound public policy, and serves as a trusted resource for Adult Family Home owners, caregivers, and industry partners across Washington.

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Nathaniel brings a global perspective shaped by decades of leadership in healthcare, nonprofit management, international development, and public service. He is passionate about building high-performing organizations, mentoring future leaders, fostering innovation, and creating systems that enable individuals, organizations, and communities to thrive.

Under his leadership, WAFHA is working to become the leading voice for Adult Family Home providers in Washington State by promoting professional excellence, supporting provider success, and strengthening the quality of long-term care for the residents and families who depend on it.
